One Cincinnati company draws the plan, builds it, and is still here to keep it looking right.
“Design, Build, Maintain” has been Perrino Landscape’s own line since Andy Perrino founded the company in 1999, and it describes an actual sequence rather than a slogan. The same designer who drew the plan is answerable for how it is built, and the same company that built it is the one that comes back every spring and fall afterward. Andy has more than forty years in the landscape industry, the practice is residential by focus, and Perrino is a member of the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association and the Better Business Bureau.
Below is that sequence, in order: design, installation, maintenance, and the landscape lighting that most clients add once the beds and the hardscape are already in the ground. Each stage links through to its own page.
First: design
A master plan before anything is dug or bought.
A Perrino design starts with the whole property, not one bed at a time. Pools, patios, sidewalks and decks are drawn into the planting plan from the beginning, so the hardscape and the garden are one decision instead of four separate ones argued out later on site.
Our designers use CAD and 3D rendering software to present the plan, so you can see the finished property before a single plant is bought or a shovel goes into the ground. From there the crew works from detailed construction drawings, not a sketch, which is a large part of why what gets built matches what was presented.

Then: installation
The plan built by the same company that drew it.
Installation is handled by professionally uniformed Perrino crews, with quality control visits through the job rather than one walk-through at the end. Once the install is finished, the client and the crew go through a post installation plant and care review together, so nobody is guessing what each new planting needs in its first season.

Then: maintenance
The company that built it is the one that keeps it.
Maintenance is a full landscape management programme written for each property rather than a fixed mowing round. Spring Clean up and Spring Pruning open the year, and Fall clean up closes it, with the calendar in between set by what a particular garden's mix of species actually needs.
Because the designer and the maintenance crew work for the same company, a bed that was drawn one way keeps getting cared for that way for as long as the client wants us back, and several Perrino clients have stayed with us for more than twenty years.

Once the ground is right, most clients add light.
Landscape and architectural lighting is designed as part of the property, not scattered in afterward. Perrino installs Kichler Design Pro LED fixtures, which carry a fifteen year warranty, and every fixture is tested before it goes into the ground.

Most Cincinnati properties pass through two or three different companies before a garden is finished: one to draw it, another to build it, and a third, if any, to look after it once it is planted. Perrino keeps all three under one roof on purpose. The people who chose a grade line, a paver joint or a plant spacing are the same people who come back to check on it, which is a large part of why several Perrino clients, including one Indian Hill family, have stayed with the company for more than twenty years.
